This double yarn holder is beautiful. Its 2.6 lb (1.2 kg) weight alone is impressive. With the little rubber feet stuck on the bottom, it won't be moving around very much when in use. The whole holder is made with solid hardwood. You can see quality in the finish. The 4.75" (12 cm) turntables are firmly secured to the base with ball bearing swivel plates. They spin smoothly and with little effort. The removable, 8" (20 cm) spindles screw into the turntable easily and firmly. With the spindles being removable, it's a great convenience when you want to take the yarn holder on a trip. You don't have to worry about the spindles breaking off. This yarn holder comes with a decorative fabric carrying bag, which helps to protect it from scratches. I've used 2 single holders when doing double-yarn work. It will be a pleasure using this double yarn holder from now on.
