‟I really appreciate the workmanship that has been put into both the materials & design of this Ball Winder. Never had a winder so my 1st priority was to see how easy/difficult the process was to set up and use. My first try was a great success...I could have wound the skein a 2nd time but honestly it worked so well I decided to leave it as a center pull. Secondly, I wanted to test the speed & ease at which the product worked. Watched the video on how to load yarn on winder and the counterbalance arm was the best! No wobbling, no loose yarn and the ball looked perfect! And it was my first try!!!! If my current swift from another maker wears out you can bet I'll be going to The Oregon Woodworker for another. ‟Hi! I bought a beautiful purple heart wooden swift and jumbo ball winder from you some months back. They are awesome tools. Finely crafted and the swift especially is gorgeous to look at. The ball winder has been wonderful as well. I look for excuses to use them! They especially make winding balls of lace-weight yarn a breeze rather than an onerous task, but I've used them with all weights with great success.. Thank you for taking the time to finely craft these great tools for us knitters. I would highly recommend both the swift and the winder to anyone looking to buy said tools. These will stand the test of time (and it is totally worth getting the purple wood, which is exceptionally hard and strong. Plus, very pretty!). Juana T.”
